Hair Loss is a very sensitive topic, Noir SMP wants to provide the solution to regaining confidence and to stop hiding under a hat! We guarantee the whole process to be stress free and as comfortable as possible.
sessions
Once you have had your initial consultation and discussed overall achievements, we will schedule your first session and get you one step closer to regaining your confidence. Clients usually need 3-5 sessions to complete their treatment as it’s tailored to the individual, and final number of session will vary client to client depending on hair loss, skin type, and after care!
It is important to follow what the artist recommends, not following pre care or aftercare can result in pigment drop out or fading.
SMP is a semi permanent treatment that does fade over time as the skin sheds, and a touch up may be required within 2-5 years to refresh colour- this again depends on how well the treatment is taken care at home- too much sun expose will result in excessive fading.
We are replicating a hair follicle- this is an ART.
Impressions should be the exact size and shade as existing hair follicles.
Session 1
Create base + build a foundation
After the first session the scalp will appear “dotty” as this will lay the base for future sessions to build up density and not over saturate the scalp as we do not know at this point how your skin will heal or accept pigment, be more conservative. Hairline is customised to you, aiming to achieve natural and undetectable results. Basic shape of your treatment is now visible and outlined. Second session will follow 7-10 days later allowing pigment to heal independently. Please note: we start light and whilst adding density we darken the pigment slightly and make any adjustments we need.
Session 2
Build density- Your new look really starts to show
Now we know how your first session has healed we then fill in between existing pigment adding density and blending in the treatment to clients existing hair, crown and temples as needed, making any adjustments to pigment or aftercare. Third treatment to following 2 weeks later.
Session 3
Blend and perfect
Third session allows more density, detail, blending and making any hairline changes if needed. This session is really when the treatment comes together and looks flawless.
Touch up session
4-6 weeks after third session, Noir SMP will be in contact once pigment has completely healed and settled in evenly, if any further sessions are required, appointments will be scheduled accordingly.
Initially fresh results meaning the date of, always look amazing but we’re not aiming for fresh results, we are aiming for long term HEALED soft natural undetectable results.
All SMP treatments come with 12 Month guarantee to cover any changes to hairline, fading or unevenness that may occur, as well as blending in any additional hair loss.
Pricing
SMP treatment prices typically range between $1200-$3200 depending on the treatment type, the extent of hair loss and size of the area to cover. Based on Norwood scale 1-7. (Refer to Norwood Scale below)

Courtney is the owner and artist behind Noir SMP.
Certified and specialising in Subtle P since 2020, also Courtney has a background in hairdressing for over 10 years bringing the artistic skills and realistic results to clients at Noir SMP in Townsville/North Queensland, transforming lives and restoring confidence.
Clients travel from all over Australia to have their treatments preformed by Courtney as she is able to create such a realistic true to size impression of a hair follicle. The overall result is that natural and undetectable to the naked eye, even with a magnify glass. A flawless long term heal is the most important end goal!
Courtney uses a unique technique to replicate the natural appearance of existing hair follicles, the procedure takes longer and more sessions are required, however this is the correct and only way to mimic an existing hair follicle. Courtney will work with the client in preparing the scalp with pre care guidance before the treatment begins to ensure the scalp is in immaculate condition.
This specific technique has been developed over years of experience with all skin types and colours, really focusing on realism and attention to detail.
